We Relocate Bees. We Don’t Kill Them.
Humane bee removal and relocation for homes, businesses and industrial sites in Rustenburg, Pretoria, Brits, Hartbeespoort and surrounds.
Swarms and colonies in the wrong place.
- Swarms hanging on trees, walls, fences and structures
- Colonies in roofs, walls and chimneys
- Homes, businesses and industrial sites
- Hive-proofing and bee-proofing advice, so bees do not return (quoted on request)
Depending on the site, we may use a bee vacuum, open the structure to remove the comb, or use a trap-out. Every method is chosen to keep the colony alive.
A roof colony, removed and relocated.
Left: an established colony that had built its comb between the roof timbers. Right: the same space after Brother Bee ZA removed the bees and their comb. The pale marks are wax left where the comb was attached.
Six steps, no surprises.

Bee removal questions.
Do you kill the bees?
No. We relocate bees and we ask you not to kill them either. The colony is removed and moved to a managed apiary.
What should I do until you arrive?
Keep people and pets away, do not spray, smoke or block the bees in, and send us photos on WhatsApp. Read what to do when you find a swarm.
How is a removal priced?
Every removal is quoted after a quick remote assessment, which is completely free with no obligation, because the position and size of the colony matter. The table above shows our standard rates.
Do you work after hours?
Yes. After-hours and emergency removals carry a 20–30% surcharge.
Are you a registered beekeeper?
Yes. Brother Bee ZA operates under Registered Beekeeper number NW432.
Will you clean up the honeycomb?
Comb clean-up and sealing is available and priced from R300 to R600, depending on the job.
What if an unexpected removal is a financial strain?
Please talk to us. We will always try to find a reasonable solution where possible.
